Since we have been out of school for a bit, i walked around the neighborhood, saying howdy to neighbors and chillin with my hommies.  (I promise I don't talk like that in real life) 

All in all, today was pretty laidback, usually I have a  To Do List for the day or week, but today  I abandoned all rules and inhibitions, whoo!

Winter is fashionably late this year...

Its snowing! its actually really, truly snowing.  I know it doesnt seem like that much, but  where i live, people are freaking out. My local grocery store is out of bread and milk, and school has been closed for days.

 People....its' not 2012. We will survive the snow, promise.

Decided to try out taking some "artsy" photos and see what I get. These were the acceptable ones. 

I love how its all black in the background, no idea how i got it that way.

This outfit is really grooving with me, I love layering different dresses and playing with neutral colors. I thought it turned out well. Lately I have had a burst of inspiration when it comes to my outfits, hopefully this continues, because i'm liking it. 

today I was in a cafe/bookstore, and the cashier asked, "so are you a hipster or something?"

I didn't know how to respond to that.

Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow

This dress is amazing.

Last day of winter break, wow, it seems like it went by so quickly. Sad. But when I was randomly wandering about the house, I managed to dig up this little number. It is amazing. Did I mention that? Amazing. 

Turns out its my grandmother's-- she graciously bestowed the garment to me. Even though I wore it as a dress, it is the top to a sari that came with loose black pants (not unlike the ones in my last post) But I ditched the pants (ditched...I'm so 90's) and belted the top, it's a little on the short side but I added my ruffle mini skirt underneath for some volume. Turned out good if I say so myself. 

I love the print here, it's so intricate and there is so much detailing in the gold thread. I always appreciate detail.

I have been wanting a good pair of harem pants for a good long while now. I truly love how there are so many trends from the 80's that have resurfaced in decent society. Big shoulders, pleats, neon colors, and harem pants-its heaven I tell you-I love it!

But since I haven't found a decent pair I thrifted a pair of loose cotton black pants and tied them up at the ankles, clever eh? Maybe? no...well it will do until i get my hands on a pair of real harems.

Yeah, I'm a ninja.
